Great Music Series, Provincetown
The Meetinghouse is an 1851 Greek Revival gem with trompe-l'oeil interiors by 19th-century architectural muralist Carl Wendte and pews adorned with whale-tooth scrimshaw emblems. These days the congregation is dedicating most of its resources not to decorative finery but to caring for the needs of people with AIDS.
